The people I call.
Owning a home means eventually needing a roofer, an electrician, or someone to make a tired floor look new again. Here are the folks I've personally hired and trust with my own home.
You don't need to list or buy with me, but you should absolutely give these folks a call. Each one of them has worked on my own home, and no one can pay to be on this list.
Ameristar Roofing
Straight answers on whether you actually need a new roof or just a repair, and they show up when they say they will. They handled a new roof and gutters on my home and knocked out a new roof in a day.
Totta Hardwoods
The team I call when old floors look beyond saving. They refinished the original hardwoods in my place and I couldn't be happier with the result. They're true craftspeople who treat old floors with respect.
Bulldog Inspect
Thorough, honest, and good at explaining what matters versus what's just an old-house quirk. Their reports are clear enough that you'll understand what you're buying, and if there are any trade-offs.
McClure Electrical Services
From a finicky panel to adding circuits during a remodel, they do clean, code-right work and charge a fair price for it. I've had them out to my house and always known exactly what I was paying for.
Blue Beetle
They handled termite and brown-recluse remediation on a rural home. They were clear about the plan and careful with the treatment. Exactly who you want in your corner when something's eating at the house.
